Paravanes, Planers and trolling boards

Popular fishing tackle product with mackeral fishing or catching large baits. Designed for getting a lure (usually a small metal spinning lure like a spoon/slug etc)  down deep or out to one side of the boat. When a fish is hooked it will "plane" the fish to the surface. The paravanes can also be used in place of a downrigger weight and run with a release clip to get your baits and lures down to where the fish are.
